Our projects: pipe cladding and industrial insulation for demanding process plant refurbishments
Here is a brief look at our recent industrial projects, where specialist insulation and sheet metal work protected process equipment, significantly reduced energy losses and extended the service life of key equipment.
1. Equipment cladding and thermal insulation – complete refurbishment of a rotary kiln for clinker production
The aim of this demanding project was comprehensive equipment protection through the design and installation of suitable thermal insulation, supporting structures and surface finishes.
-
Before dismantling: The initial photographs show the kiln’s original condition, with old, worn equipment before work began.

-
Work in progress: The installation photographs show precise craftsmanship: fitting highly durable wire mesh insulation mats and a robust support structure.

-
Final result: The final photographs show the completed surface finish, with carefully shaped galvanised sheet metal forming the protective cladding.

2. Vessel cladding and thermal insulation – improving the efficiency of an industrial heat exchanger
This project focused on maximising the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency. The old insulation layers were replaced with modern insulation.
-
Technical solution: We used high-performance wire mesh mats, complemented by specialist removable insulation components for quick maintenance and inspections.
-
Surface finish: For high mechanical and chemical resistance, the final cladding was made from premium stainless steel sheet.

3. Foundation remediation and waterproofing of an electrical switchroom
This project addressed weather damage and water ingress into strategically important areas of the factory.
-
Switchroom protection: To prevent water from entering the electrical switchroom, we installed lightweight steel structures with a roof covering made of welded chequer plate. The photographs show the condition before, during and after the work.

-
Fan foundation repair: The photographs “before and after” document comprehensive remediation of a vibrating foundation beneath an industrial fan. The work included specialist reinforcement, concreting and final grouting specifically designed for dynamically loaded and vibrating machinery.

4. Cladding for a raised battery room container and specialist sewn insulation
An example of our custom engineering and construction work. We designed and assembled a special raised container to accommodate cable channels in a battery room.
-
Technologies used: The supporting base consists of lightweight steel components, with an external envelope of insulation panels offering excellent temperature control properties.
-
Installation details: The top is fitted with walkable chequer plate, and the entire structure is finished with our own sheet metal components for complete watertightness and safety.

- Specialist sewn insulation for combined heat and power unit components, custom manufactured and installed with a reinforced build-up resistant to mechanical damage and chemical exposure.
