Inspection methods

What we provide

We help identify the causes of heat loss, noise, leaks and damage to technical equipment. Depending on the issue, we provide thermal imaging, noise measurement, roof inspections or ultrasonic material thickness measurement. We select the appropriate method according to the structure and measurement conditions.

WE PROVIDE:

THERMAL IMAGING, NOISE MEASUREMENT FOR ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS, ROOF LEAK DETECTION AND OTHER INSPECTIONS

Thermal imaging is a non-contact method of measuring temperature to determine temperature distributions on the surfaces of different objects. It has a very wide range of applications. This process is known as non-contact thermography and is increasingly used in construction, manufacturing, services and science.

Applications:

Construction
  • identification of unwanted heat losses through building and industrial hall envelopes
  • air infiltration through building structures
  • defects in insulation

Mechanical engineering
  • thermal stress on equipment and its components

Energy sector
  • heat sources (thermal stress on equipment and the development of failures)
  • quality of technical thermal insulation

Non-contact thermography (thermal imaging, or infrared technology in general) includes methods of displaying temperature fields on the surfaces of observed objects, representing the distribution of surface temperatures through the energy and density of photons emitted by the object, and evaluating or quantifying them.

In essence, it is an imaging system that transforms infrared information about the surface temperature distribution of an object into an image visible to the human eye. Correct evaluation and quantification of the recorded temperature field (thermogram) provide data on its values and distribution. The results are an excellent basis for addressing defects in buildings and structures and identifying sources of unwanted heat.

Noise level measurement

Achieving the required noise levels often calls for solutions that reduce environmental noise, for example from equipment exceeding the limits specified for particular operating times and locations. When designing noise control measures, we arrange noise measurements before the work, data analysis, solution design, implementation and follow-up measurements.

These measurements help operators of process equipment and improve acoustic comfort in towns and villages affected by unwanted noise sources.

Roof covering damage detection
As we refurbish and repair roofs, we also offer roof surveys using several methods. The roof covering type determines which methods can be used to identify leaks.

On some roofs, the sources of leaks are much harder to locate. Our years of experience help us identify and apply the most suitable defect detection methods. For PVC and TPO membrane roofs, we can provide visual inspections, spark testing and defect detection. If these methods are insufficient for a particular roof, we can offer others. For example, defect detection methods can also be applied to modified bitumen membranes and EPDM, but cannot be used in the same way on metal roof coverings.

Ultrasonic material wall thickness measurement
For repairs and projects involving steel structures, measuring material loss on process equipment before repair or replacement is often useful for diagnosis and preventive action. We can carry out all these procedures ourselves to support the correct design of the proposed solution.

We will gladly put our experience to work in identifying and resolving problems with your equipment. We also offer other inspection methods.
